Paul Wilson is the inaugural Head Master for Brighton College (Singapore), and will lead an exceptional team of educators and operations staff in Singapore.
Paul joined the team in September 2020, following his previous role at Brighton College in the UK where his responsibilities over his eight years included being the Housemaster of a boys’ boarding house (Years 9 to 13) with responsibility for the welfare and academic progress of all 60 boys.
He was also a Mandarin teacher with experience of teaching across all five Key Stages; his cohort of non-native learners achieved 100% A* over the last four years at GCSE level. Paul learnt his Mandarin at Durham University, where he completed a BA (Hons) degree in Chinese Studies.
For four years, he led Brighton College’s Combined Cadet Force in his role as Contingent Commander. He also has extensive experience of helping on Duke of Edinburgh Silver and Gold expeditions as well as being a Sports Coach in rugby, football and tennis.
During his time at Brighton College, Paul co-founded the registered charity ‘Reading Spots’ which was the winner of the Times Educational Supplement International Award 2018.
Before entering the teaching profession, Paul worked as a Chartered Accountant, qualifying as an ACA with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Paul is joined in Singapore by his wife Sarah and their two children.
Deputy Head Mistress
Lois joins Brighton College (Singapore) following four years spent as Head of School at North London Collegiate School (NLCS) Jeju in South Korea. During her time there she oversaw the growth of the school from 150 pupils to just short of 400 integrating a dual-language programme in the Infant and Junior School, as well as subject specialism in Years 5 and 6.
Lois has held leadership and management roles at outstanding Prep schools in the UK including Deputy Headship at the winner of the UK Prep School of the Year 2018 and more recently at Handcross Park, a member of the Brighton College Family of Schools and UK Prep School of the Year 2019
Lois holds a BSc (Hons) in Zoology from the University of St Andrews, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and the National Professional Qualification for Headship.
She will be moving to Singapore in January 2020.
