Brighton College (Singapore) plans to welcome pupils in August 2020*, delivering inspirational education for children aged 18 months to 11 years old. We have started recruiting the school team and we want you to join us on our journey.
The school is a partnership between leading global schools group, Cognita, and Brighton College, the UK’s top co-educational school which was named The Sunday Times’ Independent School of the Year for 2019.
A culture of kindness
Brighton College staff love to understand each young person - their strengths, their talents and what makes them unique. This is integral to nurturing a child’s confidence and happiness. Young people flourish when they feel listened to and are treated with kindness and respect. We celebrate the uniqueness of every young person: sporty, arty, scholarly, outgoing or reserved – there is no “type” at Brighton College. We want children to be happy in themselves and kind to one another. The Sunday Times sums up our philosophy well: ‘the currency at Brighton College…is kindness, pure and simple’.
A love of learning
Everyone’s life can be transformed by an inspirational teacher. Brighton College attracts great teachers to work in their schools. If you were to ask a pupil in any one of our schools what makes Brighton special, you are likely to hear them say, ‘Our amazing teachers’. Their talent, commitment and kindness are why our schools consistently rank among some of the highest performing in the world. And it is a virtuous circle: our teachers say one reason for their love of teaching and significant commitment is the kindness and level of engagement that exists within our Brighton College communities.
An outstanding Head Master
Brighton College (Singapore) will be led by its inaugural headmaster, Paul Wilson. Paul joins from Brighton College in the UK, having spent eight years leading academic, co-curricular, pastoral and charitable areas.
Paul says: “I am delighted to be moving to Singapore with my family. Establishing a school in such a dynamic and successful country is a very exciting opportunity."

About our school
Brighton College (Singapore) will provide an outstanding education that is supported by its three key pillars on curiosity, confidence and kindness. This ethos will support the delivery of the Brighton College Curriculum, incorporating the UK’s Early Years Foundation Stage and English National Curriculum, together with a rich co-curricular programme. The composition of the teaching body will reflect the high academic standards associated with a Brighton College education.
In addition to a tailor made department for Early Learning, pupils from Year 2 and upwards will benefit from innovative learning spaces, laboratories and other dedicated specialised areas to ensure children have access to facilities that will result in the best possible learning experience.
The Brighton College (Singapore) campus will be conveniently located in the central part of Singapore. The location is easily accessible by the Central Expressway and walking distance to the Lorong Chuan MRT station.
At the core of a Brighton College education is the belief that each child is unique. At Brighton College (Singapore) our philosophy is that children should be encouraged to be first-class versions of themselves not a second-class version of somebody else, within a learning environment which is underpinned by curiosity, confidence and kindness.”
